On Wednesday May 30^th, the two-day ShopRite LPGA Classic Pro-Am presented by Harrah’s begins. This event gives guests the opportunity to play golf with an LPGA player on some of the finest courses in New Jersey. One or two day Pro-Am spot includes golf with an LPGA professional, an invitation for two to the exclusive Pro-Am celebration, a deluxe gift package and more!

Preziosi Nicholson is excited to be paired up with a professional LPGA player at the Pro-Am again this year. The chance to play a few rounds of golf while raising money for charity is an experience we never miss out on! Started in 1986 and called the “Atlantic City LPGA Classic”, the 54 hole competition pitted talented female golfers against each other while raising money for local charities. The tournament was and still is held on the popular Bay Course. Situated on the coast of Reeds Bay, just a few miles northwest of Atlantic City, N.J., Bay Course has spectacular vistas of the bays and marshes that have made this links-style course a favorite of lady professionals and spectators alike.

In its first year, the tournament drew in a lot of talent including future all-star Betsy King who went on to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Within 3 years, the event was raising up to $60,000 for charity.

Soon female golfers from around the world were attending the tournament. Due to a generous partnership with sponsor Wakefern Food Corporation, the tournament was renamed: “The ShopRite LPGA Classic.” Today, the event gains international recognition and has featured big names such as Michelle Wie and Annika Sorenstam. Since 1981, the cumulative donations for charity from the LPGA and LPGA Tour events has totaled more than $200 million, $24 million of which comes from the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

While donating to over 20 charitable organizations including the Ronald McDonald House and Boy Scouts of America, the ShopRite LPGA Classic is a fun-filled experience for a great cause. Preziosi Nicholson is proud to be a part of this event and thrilled to play with some remarkable golfers!
